Gili Islands Full Day Diving with PADI 5* Dive Center

| | | | | |

The main draw is three underwater sites around the Gili Islands in one day, with a chance to see green and hawksbill turtles. The outing also pairs the sea time with a boat ride past Lombok’s small islands and a visit to the Autore Pearl Farm.

I like the hotel pickup and drop-off for making an early start easier, and the three-site format for giving you more than one look at the area’s marine life. One consideration: wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, and the one available account noted average reef conditions and no unusual fish sightings.

Dive Center – Key points to know before you book’ />

 • Three underwater sites: The locations are chosen on the day, based on conditions.
 • Turtle sightings are possible, not promised: Green and hawksbill turtles are among the animals you may encounter.
 • Small groups: A maximum of four divers per guide keeps the group limited.
 • Hotel transfers cover part of West Lombok: Pickup runs from Montong through Senggigi and Mangsit to Teluk Nara.
 • Pearl farm visit included: The Autore Pearl Farm stop gives the day a cultural and local-industry angle.
 • Budget for the park fee: The mandatory marine park fee is IDR 100,000 per person, paid onsite.

Three Gili sites in one day

Gili Islands Full Day Diving with PADI 5 Dive Center – Three Gili sites in one day’ />

This is a full-day trip for certified scuba participants, not a first-time lesson. You need at least an Open Water certification, and the center plans three underwater sessions around the Gili Islands. The specific sites are decided on the day, so you should be ready for the plan to shift with weather and sea conditions.

That flexibility is useful in a region where conditions can affect the route. It also means you cannot choose a particular reef or expect a specific animal encounter in advance. The advertised possibilities include green and hawksbill turtles, moray eels, octopus, cuttlefish, mantis shrimp, white-tip sharks, giant triggerfish, scorpionfish and frogfish. Treat that list as a set of possible sightings, not a checklist.

The operator describes the trip as a chance to meet turtles and explore varied marine habitats. That is the appeal, but it is worth keeping expectations grounded. One account of the outing described the ecology around the islands as average and reported no special fish sightings. If seeing a rare species is the main reason you are booking, this trip cannot promise that result.

I would book for the chance to spend a day in the water across several sites, not for a guaranteed encounter with a particular animal. Three locations give you more variety than staying at one site, but the day’s value will still depend on visibility, conditions and what happens to be around.
