Lan Ha Bay is where I send people who want Ha Long’s karsts without Ha Long’s boat traffic, and these cruises do it best. The bay wraps around Cat Ba island with the same limestone towers plus small sandy beaches the main bay mostly lacks. Most boats leave from Got Pier on the Hai Phong side, not Ha Long City.
