Coba sits only about 45 minutes inland, and these are the trips I recommend for doing it from Tulum. You explore by bike or pedicab under genuine jungle canopy, a complete change from Tulum’s exposed cliff site. The pyramid climb is closed these days; the swimming cenotes nearby more than fill the gap.
